Student satisfaction at The Cass leaps to record levels in the latest National Student Survey.

The Cass has been awarded its highest ever Student Satisfaction score in the National Student Survey 2016 (NSS).
Over 88% of students who completed the survey said they were satisfied with their experience at the Faculty. Two courses in The Cass – Textile Design and Creative Music Technologies – scored 100% in the survey. There were also gains and high scores for undergraduate courses including Fine Art (97%), Photography (91%), Interior Design (89%), Graphic Design (88%), Architecture (87%), Jewellery (93%) and Furniture and Product Design (92%).
Comments from the Dean
Andy Stone, Dean of The Cass, said that, “since the Faculty was formed in 2012, we’ve worked hard to develop the innovative, studio-based teaching approach which sees students work closely with industry professionals on live projects alongside the expertise of academic staff. This enables students to develop not just the knowledge and skills they need for their futures, but the contacts and relationships too.
“I’m delighted that students have recognised our efforts with a record Student Satisfaction score, which shows how much they enjoy studying at London Met.
“We are launching a number of new courses in The Cass this year, very much responding to industry and student demand, including Photojournalism, Publishing, Fashion Accessories and Jewellery, and Painting.”
Graduate employment
The encouraging result comes a month after The Cass received a record score for graduate employment, with 96% of graduates in work or further study six months after graduation (DLHE 2015). London Metropolitan University is the biggest two year riser in the country for graduate employment and this year saw a massive 12% increase in graduate level employment.
The overall NSS Score for London Metropolitan University rose to a record 80% and the The University has now seen a continual six year increase in the NSS, rising 12% in that time.
