Early Years Teacher Programme
Since 1 October 2011 London Metropolitan University has been working as part of a consortium of five exceptional partner Universities to deliver Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) which is now going to be deliver Early Years Teacher (EYT) to London and the South East.
These courses are suitable for students who want to improve both their academic and general English with an emphasis on vocabulary development and writing skills. They are not preparation courses for international examinations. Advanced English classes take place on Mondays from 10am-12:30pm and the proficiency level class takes place on Mondays from 2-4:30pm.

The course has been introduced by the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL)to increase the pool of eligible trainees joining secondary modern language Initial Teacher Training (ITT) courses in September.
Subject Knowledge Enhancement Courses (SKEs) are about improving subject knowledge in preparation for a Teacher Training course. At least 50% of our SKE is school based. Trainees will be taught by experienced teachers of AS and A2 Chemistry in school as well as experienced tutors here at London Met. This course is available to PGCE offer holders at London Metropolitan University or at other universities.
