Short Course Programme- Introductory Page

London Metropolitan University is one of Britain's largest universities, with over 34,000 students and over 3,000 staff. We provide over 150 undergraduate courses and 140 postgraduate courses, and offer both help with personal development and high quality academic tutoring in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Our short courses at London Metropolitan University allow you to explore a variety of stimulating, challenging subjects, taught by experts in their fields.

In the last decade, we have grown substantially in the creative arts area. These courses involve a mixture of theory and practice, and close contact with practitioners is a key part of teaching. Our students enjoy the use of excellent studio and screening facilities. We host a range of seminars, lectures and a creative writing competition on an annual basis, and well known writers and communicators who live and work in and around the University are regular contributors to our courses.

The range of short courses in Translation and Interpreting is also expanding. Our team of lecturers and tutors are all professional researchers, translators and/or interpreters affiliated to professional organisations. Each course offers a personal and flexible approach dedicated to understand orofessional needs. The interpreting suite at Moorgate provides excellent facilities for conference interpreting.

Our Short courses give you an excellent opportunity to gain continuous professional development from a team of dedicated teachers and practitioners.
