Jude Rogers began her career as a journalist and editor by setting up her own London-based magazine, Smoke: A London Peculiar in 2002, to enthusiastic reviews.
She then worked for five years as Reviews Editor for entertainment magazine, The Word, wrote a fortnightly music column for The Guardian, and now writes and broadcasts about music, film, books, celebrity and politics for The Guardian, the Observer, The Times, the New Statesman, Elle, Red, The Quietus, Caught By The River, Newsnight Review on BBC2, Radio 1, Radio 2, 5 Live and 6 Music.
She has also been a judge for the Mercury Music Prize since 2007, and a mentor for the Record Of The Day Young Journalist Of The Year Prize since 2008.
