This short course is an opportunity for post-graduate students to explore a range of methods, approaches and traditions in research in applied linguistics. The aim of the course is to introduce a solid grounding in such methods and to familiarize the participants with the
current trends and debates in researching language as a means of communication and as a social and linguistic phenomenon. The course combines theoretical considerations with interactive tasks, and provides the participants with an opportunity to use Londonmet information resources in their relevant research area.
