Tim Parsons Challenges Muslim Stereotyping in TV Discussion

Tim Parsons who teaches on the undergraduate degree in Criminology appeared on the Islam Channel on Thursday 27th Jan at 5.30 pm. He participated in a studio discussion concerning the negative impact of a widely inaccurate training video shown to police officers in the New York Police Department. The video reinforced negative stereotypes of Muslims as terrorists and suicide bombers and Tim contrasted it with the work he has done with the Muslim community in the UK and the City of London Police.
