Who finds the placement?
You are ultimately responsible for searching and securing a placement, but we provide you with structured guidance and we are available throughout the year for further discussion. Occasionally we receive requests from organisations for work placements; These will be advertised here on our website.
Are sandwich placements paid?
Yes, you will recieve a salary in the region of £10,000 to £14,000
Will it count towards my degree?
Yes, it counts as two advanced level modules
How long must the placement be?
Your placement must be for a minimum of 48 weeks and it should be a full time role
Does the placement have to link to my course?
Yes, your placement has to be approved by your course tutor to ensure it is of a suitable level and is directly related to your degree.
I've found a placement, what happens now?
As soon as you have secured a placement, you must inform your sandwich placement tutor. You are required to get approval of this placement and sign and complete a learning agreement.
