Participate in questionnaire
Invitation to participate in a research study
You are being invited to take part in a research study conducted by the Write Now Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), led by London Metropolitan University. We are interested in your attitudes to academic study and would like to ask you to complete a questionnaire on your views and experiences. The questionnaire should take about 20-25 minutes to complete.
Once you complete the questionnaire, you will automatically receive feedback on your strengths and weaknesses in ten different areas including motivation, knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and skills related to successful learning, via email. The results can also be used to support your personal development planning (PDP) work, including the writing of reflective personal statements. We will also give you a free copy of a new Write Now book on essay writing: Writing Essays at University: A Guide for Students, by Students (available at the Writing Centre, Calcutta House, City Campus), and the chance to enter a prize draw. The prizes include:
1st Prize= A Digital Book Reader
2nd Prize= £50 Amazon voucher (x2)
3rd Prize= £20 Amazon voucher (x20)
If you would like to participate in this study, please read the information below and then click on the link below to access the questionnaire. The URL will direct you to a web page that contains directions for taking the questionnaire. After you have read these directions, you will be asked to enter your school number, user name and password. Please enter:

After entering this information, the next screen to appear requires you to enter your first and last name, your university ID number and an e-mail address. **PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE FIELDS ARE NOT OPTIONAL, AND YOU MUST ENTER YOUR NAME AND ID NUMBER CORRECTLY AS REGISTERED AT THE UNIVERSITY**
The next screen to appear will be the questionnaire. After completing all the items and successfully submitting the results, a two-page report will be displayed listing your scores for each scale, together with your name, institution, date of administration, and an explanation of your results. You may print a copy of the results for your records.
