About the SEWs
The Faculty of Computing launched the monthly Student Enterprise Workshop (SEW) series in October 2009. They aim to make our students more aware of what is happening in industry, by inviting speakers from commercial partners, our alumni and other businesses and organisations. It improves our students' employability and increases the Faculty's enterprise network. It creates internship opportunities for our students, as well as work placements and graduate jobs. The workshops are highly interactive. Speakers bring their experiences and inform our students about their professional practice, and share a Q&A session over a cup of tea or coffee. So far, we have had speakers from Microsoft, Cisco, BATS Europe and Make Me Believe Ltd, with more to come in our next SEWs.
