Submission

Paper Submission Instructions and Formatting

Electronic Submissions Only:
  • Papers must be unpublished and must not be submitted for publication elsewhere.

    Electronic Submission Procedure:
       1. Papers must be submitted electronically through the EDAS system.
    2. To submit your paper, authors should first check if they already have an account on the EDAS system at http://edas.info/.
    3. If not, they must create it before submitting the paper by clicking on the 'Create your new user account' link on the EDAS system login page.
    4. After login to the EDAS system, the authors will be prompt with a list of conferences and journals. Click on "ITRE2004" in the 'publication' column, the authors should find the 'submit paper' button.
    5. Once getting into the submission page, authors should input author names, paper title, abstract, and select an appropriate track.
    6. Authors should receive a confirmation email after a successful submission.

    Review:
       1. The review process is being conducted entirely online. To make the review process easy for the reviewers, and to assure that the paper submissions will be readable through the online review system, we ask that authors submit paper documents according to the submission guidelines.
    2. All papers will be reviewed by TPC members and experts active in the field to ensure high quality and relevance to the conference. Authors will be notified of the review results by email.
    3. Authors of accepted papers are expected to attend the conference to present their contributions. Registrations must be paid for inclusion in the proceedings.

    Camera-Ready Paper Submission:
  • Final version of the paper, i.e., camera-ready manuscript, should be uploaded electronically through the EDAS system. Please update the author names, the title, and the abstract of your paper on EDAS as well.

    File Format:
  • Papers should be submitted in Portable Document Format (PDF) format ONLY.
  • The file size should not exceed 2MB.
  • To generate a PDF document, you can use:
      
  • the full version of Adobe's Acrobat software (not the free Acrobat Reader software)
  • ps2pdf (free software) or any other tools which can generate PDF file.
  • You may try this web site to convert postscript to PDF format for you.

  • Typesetting Format:
  • LANGUAGE: Papers should be written in English.
  • LENGTH: Paper should not exceed 5 pages including all the figures, tables, and references in the two-column IEEE style.
  • PAPER SIZE: Documents should be formatted for standard A4 (210mm by 297mm) paper.
  • ABSTRACT: Each paper should contain an abstract of 100 to 150 words that appears at the beginning of the document. Use the same text that is submitted electronically along with the author contact information.
  • REFERENCES: List and number all references at the end of the document.
  • To conform to the IEEE requirements, the CCC code and page number starting at 500 have been inserted/updated in the Latex and MS Word SAMPLES (the word document should look like this). Please USE these sample files to typeset your camera-ready manuscript, and upload your pdf file to the EDAS
      
  • The Latex sample zip file, i.e., sample in latex.zip, consists of five separate files:
    • IEEEtran.cls --- This is the latest official IEEE LaTeX class for authors of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Transactions journals and conferences.
    • sample.pdf --- a camera-ready sample manuscript in pdf.
    • sample.ps --- the camera-ready sample manuscript in ps.
    • sample.tex --- the raw latex file of the camera-ready sample manuscript.
    • fig1.eps --- an eps figure file included in the camer-ready sample manuscript.

  • Please send/fax the copyright forms along with the registration form to:

    There will be an extra charge of $100 per page for papers exceeding 5 pages.
  • One author has to pay the extra-page fee in his/her registration.
  • Make sure of the payment method, signature and date.

    Conference registration must be completed.
  • At least one author of each accepted paper, invited paper, and accepted technical demo (including those in all tracks, workshop and special sessions) must register with Full Registration (NOT student) on or before  April 16, 2004 to have the paper included in the conference proceedings. Please send/fax the copyright forms along with the registration form.
