Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) Short Courses
The Faculty of Computing offers a range of Adobe short courses to prepare students to take the Adobe Certified Associate Exam. Adobe certification is an industry standard qualification and is recognised globally.
Scheduled 10 week ACA Short Courses
Our short courses run all year round, on this site you can find the programme for our 2011-12 courses. This year we are offering a variety of options to suit all needs. We run 10 week short courses in Flash, Dreamweaver and Photoshop in autumn, spring and summer, please see our timetable (link on the right-hand side) for details of dates. If you are a beginner and want to learn Flash, Dreamweaver or Photoshop, you can join us for the first 4 weeks of our scheduled 10 week courses. For the person who has some experience of Flash, Dreamweaver or Photoshop, and wants to formalise their skills and become an ACA, you can join us for the last 6 weeks of our scheduled 10 week courses.
All 10 week short courses are from 6pm until 8:30 pm
5 Day Intensive ACA Short Courses
Some students want to study at a more accelerated pace, to accommodate this we have 5 day short courses, covering the ACA syllabus and culminating in the ACA exam. Please see the timetable for more details.
All 5 day short courses are from 10am until 5pm, Monday to Friday.
ACA Exam Only programme
Those students who are skilled and feel confident that they want to only take the ACA exam, we offer a two week programme which allows you to take a practice exam, the ACA exam and an opportunity for a retake (if necessary). The ACA exam is taken during weeks 9 and 10 of the scheduled 10 week short courses. Please see the timetable for more details.
Courses in preparation for 2012
Courses currently in preparation are Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 and Flash for mobile (Android and iPhone Apps [no ACA offered for this]).
