Student Enterprise Workshops (SEW)
SEW Logo
The Student Enterprise Workshops aim to make our students more aware of what is happening in industry, and benefit from industrial liaison by inviting speakers from our industrial partners, our alumni and other businesses and organisations. It provides a link between our industrial contacts and our students for their mutual benefit and improves our students' employability through their interaction with industry. It increases the Faculty' enterprise network and potentially creates internship opportunities for our students, as well as work placements and graduate jobs. Please contact Dr. Yanguo Jing for further information about SEW
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP)
KTP is a government subsidised partnership between a company and university. It is one of a number of programmes led by the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) aiming to accelerate business innovation enabling organisations, SMEs in particular, to improve their competitiveness and performance through accessing knowledge, technology or skills from the UK knowledge base which includes universities. As the leading funding organisation, the TSB promotes innovation in many ways. As well as investing in programmes and projects like KTP, much of its work is spreading knowledge, understanding policy, spotting opportunities and bringing people together to solve problems or make new advances. There are different parties working on a KTP programme; the academic partner who has knowledge, the company partner who needs knowledge and the associate or graduate who transfers knowledge. This programme enables the company to deliver quantifiable benefits including increased profit, enables the university to enhance its relevance to business and provides career enhancement and professional development for graduates. Contact Dr. Karim Ouazzane k.ouazzane@londonmet.ac.uk for further information.
