- A Berkeley Compendium of Suggestions for Teaching with Excellence Suggestions on teaching from more than 150 faculty at the University of California, Berkley, USA.
- A Handbook for Teaching Assistants
Although targeted at teaching assistants, this Handbook from Queen's University, Canada, should be of value to all new lecturers. It has a welath of information on a whole range of topics.

- Educational Development Resource Centre
This is a WWW service from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University to higher education, providing resources for teaching development, student learning, staff development, educational research, Web teaching - and more. There are over 500 links to resources of interest to educators at the site.
- Humour in the Classroom
Links to various sources of information on humour in the classroon provided by the Center for Teaching Excellence , Tufts University, USA.
- Preparing Future Faculty Programme
This site provides information on an US initiative that provides experiences that will allow graduate students to learn about the roles and responsibilities of faculty members at the each institution which is a partner to the programme.

The TPI is aimed at helping you collect your thoughts and summarize your ideas about teaching. It can be useful in examining your own teaching as well as helping clarify the teaching views of other people. The TPI is quick to complete online and to automatically score your results. You may also choose to print out a profile sheet to help you visualize and interpret your scores.
