Peer Assisted Learning (PAL)
Based at Bournemouth University, the Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) website was set up to further develop and disseminate the concept of peer assisted learning within UK Higher Education. The site contains information about the following: background information on PAL; its potential benefits to institutions, academics, student leaders and student participants; the main principles of PAL; a (growing) number of case studies of PAL in the UK; practical information about implementing, integrating, promoting and evaluating PAL; information about the PAL Project; and, a link to a computer conferencing discussion area in which staff who are PAL Co-ordinators can share issues and matters of concern and act as a mutual support network.
