  • Higher Education Statistics Agency has been set up by the UK universities and higher education colleges to collect, analyse and report on HE statistics as the basis of a comprehensive management information system for publicly funded HE in the UK.

  • National Coordination Team manages and coordinates two UK initiatives:
    • Teaching and Learning Technology Programme (TLTP) aims "to make teaching and learning more productive and efficient by harnessing modern technology" This is the central web server linking to various projects funded under the UK's TLTP since it was set up in 1992.
    • Fund for the Development of Teaching and Learning (FDTL) supports projects aimed at stimulating developments in teaching and learning and to encourage the dissemination of good practice across the higher education sector. The site provides information about projects funded under the FDTL and contact information.
  • Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) - provides an integrated quality assurance service for HE institutions throughout the UK. The site includes links to various subject reports and QAA papers.
  • University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) is the UK's central organisation through which applications are processed for entry to full-time undergraduate courses, Higher National Diplomas and university diplomas.
