An

- The Active Learning Site
This
site is devoted to the topic of active learning. It includes a number
of interesting little items on the topic, including a learning styles
inventory referred to as VARK.
- The University of Learning
Review
of the book by this title by John Bowden and Ference Marton published
by Kogan Page in 1998. The book examines the role and methods of the
university and, in particular, the effectiveness of student learning.

A
speech from the 1998 AAHE conference which looks at the focus on
learning rather than teaching. This is discussed in the light of the

- ELSIN, the European Learning Styles Information Network
ELSIN
is an association of researchers, educationalists and trainers
interested in the theory and application of Learning Styles. ELSIN is
an inter-disciplinary body attracting members from a wide range of
disciplines and professional contexts. It runs conferences and has an ELSIN mailing list.
- Fostering Deeper Learning
An
article (1998) by Carol Johnston, University of Melbourne, Australia,
which discusses ways in which deeper learning can be encouraged and
fostered in students. Includes a useful bibliography on the subject.
- Learning Styles - The key to personalised e-learning?
Peter
Honey discusses the results of a survey he has conducted about
e-learning, in particular the things that people like and dislike about
e-learning.
- Phenomenography Crossroads
Links
to information about phenomenography generally and more specififically
to phenomenography as a scientific approach in the study of student
learning. Links to the publications of Ference Marton, who did seminal
