Masters in Arts (MA)
The Caribbean Studies Centre is involved in a number of London Metropolitan Masters courses that have Caribbean relevance. For example:

Virtual Masters in Caribbean Studies
The Caribbean Studies Centre is collaborating with a number of Caribbean universities in the development of a Masters in Caribbean Studies. This will be an on-line course, and contributes to the building of regional integration. The expected launch date is September 2008. London Metropolitan University's contribution to this project is being led by Prof. Jean Stubbs (Director of the Caribbean Studies Centre), with the assistance of Dr. Jonathan Curry-Machado (Research Fellow). Further details will be made available in due course.

Research Degrees (MPhil/PhD)
The Centre is experienced in providing research supervision, and has provided such support for research students who are recipients of Arts and Humanities Research Board (AHRB) and Overseas Research Student Awards. In the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE), American Studies (Latin American and Caribbean) achieved a 4 rating.

The Higher Education Council for England (HEFCE) Research Assessment Exercise defines a 4 rating as follows:

Quality that equates to attainable levels of national excellence in virtually all of the research activity submitted, showing some evidence of international excellence.
