Undergraduate entry requirements

To study at London Met all students need to:

  • Be 18 or over at the start of the course
  • Have GCSE grade C in English language or key skills qualification level 3 or equivalent

Some courses may also need GCSE grade C in mathematics or equivalent (see individual courses for details)

For most courses you will also need to hold at least one of these combinations of qualifications:

  • At least two passes at A level and three other subjects at GCSE
  • Two A level passes and two other subjects at GCSE grade C or above
  • Three A level passes and one other subject at GCSE grade C or above
  • Advanced level GNVQ with a merit grade
  • BTEC National Diploma or Certificate with a pass grade
  • The Scottish Certificate of Education with passes in five subjects with three at higher level
  • The Scottish Certificate of Education with passes in four subjects with all at higher level
  • The Irish Leaving Certificate with passes at grade C in four subjects at higher level
  • International Baccalaureate with a minimum of 28 points and four points in English (see alternative IELTS/TOEFL entry requirements)
  • European Baccalaureate with a minimum overall score of 70 per cent and grade 7 in English (see alternative IELTS/TOEFL entry requirements)
  • Recognised higher education preparatory course
  • Recognised access course

See the course details for the specific subjects or grades you might need. In some cases other qualifications certified by the admissions tutor as being of equivalent standard will also be accepted.
