Social events and entertainment

At university, there is not doubt you will make friends for life, and joining a society or a sports team can be one of the best ways to meet people.

There are more than 50 societies you can join at London Met, including the Urban Music Society, Dance and Drama, Philosophy, the Anime Society and the London Met Feminists.

See the list of societies available here. If there are none that take your interest, then why not start your own?

There are many sports you can get involved with at London Met, including basketball, hockey, tennis, netball and squash. For details on joining a team, see the London Met University Sports website.

Our chill-out areas are great for catching up with friends in between lectures. We have 10 cosy cafes, free wi-fi and comfy lounges. We also host great live music, comedy and club nights at our two famous bars, the Rocket Complex and the Hub, which are regularly mentioned in the London Time Out magazine.

Getting involved in the London Met Students' Union (MetSU) is another great way to meet people and make a difference in the University.

MetSU is a democratic organisation run by students for students. It provides representation, advice and support to London Met students. Through the Union, students run their own radio and magazine.
