This course is about mastering critical Excel skills the nature of which gives delegates a clear edge in the current job market. The course is aimed at all city workers and other potential business users.

The course will enable participants to understand how to use Excel to analyse and manipulate financial workbook data. Participants will learn how to: employ sophisticated data manipulation tools; use ready-made macros; create macros from scratch; embed macros in the worksheet; and develop a worksheet application. The course is aimed at a wide audience including all city workers and other potential business users.

This course will appeal to a wide audience including all city workers and other potential business users.

Topics covered include:

  • Lookup tables, pivot tables, goal seek analysis and scenario reports
  • Recording macros, embedding macros and Conditional Formatting
  • Functions: max, min, average, sum, count and IF
  • The macro programming environment
