Course content

The syllabus can be designed to focus any of the following areas:

  • English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
  • Business English
  • Study skills for university
  • British life and culture
  • Methodology for English language teachers
  • English language exam preparation
  • Pronunciation

Timetable

    Classes run from Mondays to Fridays.

    15 hours minimum per week but can be increased to 25 hours.

    Normal teaching hours are from 10am to 1.15pm.

    A social programme and cultural excursions can be incorporated into the course.

Recent tailor-made courses include:

  • An English Language Training Programme for Lecturers from a Erasmus partner university in the Netherlands, run in collaboration with the London Metropolitan Business School.
  • An English plus Science course combining content and language for a Chinese partner university, run in collaboration with the Faculty of Life Sciences (returning 2011).
  • An English language and British culture programme for a Spanish partner univeristy (returning 2011).
  • A summer study tour programme for a Japanese partner university (returning 2011)
