Social Programme
One of the best ways to improve your English is by immersing yourself in both the language and the culture. We offer a wide range of social activities, both within the department, and university wide, giving you an easy opportunity to meet new people, practise your speaking and enjoy London.
Throughout the year we usually offer at least two activities a month, along with keeping you informed of all events within the University. In the summer we offer a full programme, with at least two activities a week.
Typical excursions and activities include;

- Badminton
- The London Met Five-A-Side Challenge Cup
We are also able to help you go on day trips and excursions to popular UK attractions such as Oxford, Cambridge, Stonehenge and Bath, as well as destinations further afield in Europe – all at a competitive price.
Events and activities are displayed on the notice board in the Learning Centre, but the best way to keep up to date with what’s happening is by checking out our blog; (Link Pending) and our Facebook page: Soc Prog. Here you will be able to find out what current activities we have planned and see photos of past events, along with chatting to both past and present students.
