In addition to its language training programmes, European and Language Services offers the following professional language services and facilities:

• Translation service.

• Interpreting service.

• Language audits of linguistic ability and potential across a whole work force.

• Language assessments to facilitate the recruitment of new staff. Assessments and audits can be carried out on a face-to-face basis or, for added flexibility, on the telephone or by computer-assisted technologies.

• All tests for auditing or assessing can be tailor-made to suit the industry involved such as tourism, medicine, banking, engineering etc, or we have our own generic tests designed at the university for general language ability. Formalised reports and recommendations on appropriate training are presented to the client on conclusion of the project.

• Setting up a Language Policy for Human Resources and Training Departments. This can cover issues such as how to ensure staff commitment to attendance, who pays for course materials, a requirement to take formal exams etc.

• Membership to the London Metropolitan University Language Centres. This means access to over 100 workstations, audio & videocassettes, language software, satellite TV channels from a range of foreign countries and the foreign language publications including journals, newspapers and magazines. Open every day, including evening and weekends during University terms and weekdays 9am-7pm during vacation periods.
