About CELT
The Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching is the unit with a cross-Faculty role operating under the aegis of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) Professor Peter McCaffery.
Our purpose is to support the University’s educational mission and strategic goals through:
- Enhancing student learning experience and academic success
- Enhancing teaching, learning and assessment practice
- Supporting innovation in pedagogy, curriculum development and e-learning
- Providing academic and professional development and support
- Supporting and developing pedagogigical scholarship & research
- Developing policy in learning, teaching, assessment and blended learning
CELT supports students by supporting staff in learning, teaching and assessment and by working directly with students.

Each team has members identified as Faculty Liaison staff who work directly with Faculties in the field of professional and academic development.
