Introduction to the Peer Review of Teaching (PRT)
In February 2005 the University Learning and Teaching Group endorsed a proposal to adopt a harmonised scheme of peer observation of teaching. This was designed to meet one of the aims outlined in the Learning & Teaching Strategy (high level broad goal (i), Target 1.4).
These pages provide an overview of the process of Peer Review of Teaching (PRT), look at some of the issues and provide examples of practices that have been adopted by University departments.
