Learning and Teaching Conference 2008

The fifth annual London Metropolitan University Learning & Teaching Conference will take place on Tuesday 8 July, from 9.30 to 4.00 followed by a reception. The first session will be held in the Henry Thomas Room, Tower Building, Holloway Road, north campus.

The theme is Engaging with Diversity (as an asset as well as challenge) - the whole spectrum of diversity: class, gender, age, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, physique, religion, nationality etc. The aim is to share creative ideas and successful practice in working with diverse students to equip them for a diverse world.

Conference activities include a panel discussion, presentations/papers, workshops, keynote address, posters, e-displays and a book display. Our keynote speaker is Professor Kathryn Ecclestone, a prominent UK educationalist, whose talk will explore issues around assessment and diversity. The Reception will feature the University Choir and launch of the expanded 2nd edition of "Essential Study Skills" by Tom Burns & Sandra Sinfield.
