Metropolitan Works,incorperating Furniture Works and Gold Works is a unique centre that supports London’s creative industries and related manufacturing. Part of London Metropolitan University, the centre is located in the City Fringe of East London, an area with the largest concentration of artists and designers in Europe.

Metropolitan Works encourages and facilitates creative use of digital technologies for research, development and production across a broad range of disciplines. The Digital Manufacturing Centre is at the heart of Metropolitan Works.

One of the largest centres of its kind in the UK, its mission is to provide the tools for creative minds to innovate. It is a ‘factory in the city’ where creative practitioners can explore formerly inaccessible advanced technologies to experiment, practice and produce their ideas.
