About Us
The Innovation and Enterprise Unit helps external organisations to identify expertise and services within the University as well as supporting University staff in their work with business.
The Unit works closely with local organisations and business support agencies to develop new initiatives of benefit to businesses and external organisations.
We offer advice and support in the following areas:
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships - a government subsidised partnership helping businesses access affordable expertise backed up by cutting edge research and development within the University.
IPR (Intellectual Property Rights), patenting and technology transfer.
Access to the combined expertise of eight universities and colleges in East London and the Thames Gateway through Knowledge East, a knowledge exchange.
Access to sector expertise through our nine Sector Business Development Managers who develop income-generating initiatives and build links with business and external organisations.
