Photography - BA (Hons) - Portfolio guidelines

The purpose of the portfolio interview is to assess your potential and ability to benefit from the course. This will take the form of a discussion around your interests and will focus on your portfolio of work. The interviewer wants to see what skills and interests you have so it is important to spend some time preparing your portfolio.

The portfolio should not measure more than 100 x 75 centimetres (40 x 30 inches) and must not include more than 25 A1 sheets (59.4 x 84.1 centimetres / 23.27 x 33.1 inches).

As well as photography, the portfolio may include written work, drawings and other two-dimensional works, including sketchbooks. Large pieces of work and three-dimensional work should be presented using photographs or shown on a laptop or tablet. You're advised to be selective when preparing your portfolio and to present those pieces that you feel best represent your creative ability.

Your portfolio should be clearly labelled with your name and student ID or UCAS number.
