Before accepting

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to London Met. Before you accept our offer, please ensure you’ve read the following information:

  • All offers are subject to the University's standard terms and conditions.
  • The University reserves the right to vary the contents and delivery of courses, and to discontinue or combine courses if it’s deemed necessary. In such cases the University will endeavour to provide a suitable alternative course. Such changes may occur either before or after admission.
  • We’re committed to reducing our carbon footprint and therefore the main method of communication will be via email. It is therefore essential that you ensure we have your most up-to-date email address at all times. Please amend your email filter settings to ensure that London Met emails are not automatically filtered into your junk folder. You can amend your contact details via the Applicant Portal or by getting in touch with our admissions team.

Additional requirements

Offer holders for regulated courses are required to apply for (or show evidence that they have) a suitable Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate.

Accept your offer

UCAS applicants

If you’ve applied for a full-time undergraduate course and have received all your offers via UCAS, you need to accept your offer via the UCAS Hub. You’ll only be able to do this once you’ve had all of your offers back. Please make a note of the UCAS deadlines for accepting offers.

Direct applicants

If you’ve applied for a part-time undergraduate or postgraduate course, or a course that starts in January, you can view the status of your application, upload documents (eg exam results, transcripts) and accept your offer via our Applicant Portal.

Confirmation of your login details and password to access the portal were sent to you via email. Please get in touch with our admissions team if you no longer have access to these details.

International students

Please note, any certificates or transcripts issued to you that are not in English must be provided with an additional official certified translation into English. Please note that a certified translation of your academic qualification(s) will also be required for your visa application if you need one.

If you have an unconditional offer

If you receive an unconditional offer, this means that you have met all academic and English language qualifications, and any other conditions for entry to the course. We may occasionally offer you a different course to which you applied for if you are not suitable for any reason, and we will usually tell you this in the communication about your offer.

If you're an international student and require a Student (formerly Tier 4) visa to study in the UK, you will also receive information about obtaining a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from us. Find out more about obtaining a CAS.

If you have a conditional offer

UCAS applicants

If your offer is conditional upon the results of qualifications other than A-levels, BTEC courses or the International Baccalaureate, it’s your responsibility to upload them to the portal/provide them to our admissions team.

Part-time and January applicants

If your offer is conditional upon results of qualifications it’s your responsibility to upload them to the portal/provide them as soon as they are available.

Please note, we’ll withdraw your offer if you don’t provide evidence of your results. If you don’t meet the conditions of your offer, we’ll consider you for an alternative course, where possible, on receipt of your results.

Before enrolment

You must meet all of your offer conditions, fulfil any other requirements as stated in your offer and accept the offer within the time frame specified. If you’re applying through UCAS, please see the UCAS website for information on deadlines. Failure to do this will result in your place being offered to someone else.

You must ensure that we have a valid email address so that we can contact you about your application and enrolment.

We encourage applications from students with disabilities. You’re encouraged to contact our enquiries team for more information on the support available to you.

All offers are subject to you providing original certificates of the qualifications upon which your offer has been based, in person at enrolment. If you haven't got these documents you must bring certified replacements to your enrolment. Failure to provide this documentation or production of fraudulent qualifications will result in your offer being revoked.

You’re required to ensure that you have secured funds to pay your tuition fees at the point of enrolment. For confirmation of your fees read our fee payment policy.

If you're holding an unconditional offer we'll send you an email containing all the information you need to know about the start of your course and enrolment a month before your course is due to start. If you're holding a conditional offer your offer will remain conditional until we have received confirmation of your outstanding conditions, eg International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score, outstanding exam results etc. You should upload this information using the applicant portal.
