Do you have to pay to join the Alumni Association?
Membership to the Alumni Association is free.
Who can join the Alumni Association?
Former students of London Metropolitan University and/or predecessor institutions who have studied and passed an undergraduate diploma e.g. HND, HNC and/or degree e.g. BA, BSc and/or a postgraduate degree e.g. MBA, MSc at the University.
Former students who have completed a course that has a duration of 1 year and/or under are not eligible for membership.
Please note: if you wish to receive an alumnus ID card, (so you can visit our libraries, gyms and buildings) you must also supply 2 identical passport-sized photographs with your application.
Please note it will take 10 working days to process your application form
When can I apply?
You can apply to join the Alumni Association as soon as you finish your undergraduate or postgraduate degree and your award is conferred, (agreed and added to the University's central database). This usually takes place in August each year for final year students who started their degree in Semester A. This usually takes place in March each year for final year students who started their course in Semester B. Please note: we can only process your application for alumni membership when your award has been conferred.
If I'm already a member of the Alumni Association of University of North London do I have to re-apply?
No you don't. As long as you have your old UNL Alumni ID Card you will get full access to all London Met buildings.
What benefits do I get if I join?

How long is membership for?
Alumni Association is for life and/or for as long as you do not breach the University's regulations and/or code of conduct.
How can I support the University and/or give something back to other students?
There are many opportunities to support the University and its future development and/or current students. For example you can give career advice, mentor current students, attend events, assist in student recruitment and/or make donations. It is up to you to choose a way that is appropriate for you. If you are interested in participating in any of these schemes then please email alumni@londonmet.ac.uk or call on 020 7320 3421.

Am I able to contact former students?
Yes we have a scheme called 'Connect' that allows you to contact former students. You can complete a form at 'Find a friend'. Please note that unless the person you are trying to contact has updated their details, we may not be able to locate him/her.
How do I obtain a copy of my degree certificate and/or transcript?
Copies of degree certificates and transcripts are not issued by the Alumni Association.
Graduates that require duplicate degree certificates need to contact the Assessment & Conferment Office by Email: awards@londonmet.ac.uk
Graduates can request for additional copies of transcripts by visiting: The London Metropolitan University eShop on https://eshop.londonmet.ac.uk/
or by contacting their Undergraduate/Postgraduate Office, details of which can be found at www.londonmet.ac.uk/registry/contact-us.
