Great Hall and Rocket Venue | Holloway | N7

Great Hall and Rocket Venue

Built in 1896, the Great Hall was the centrepiece of what was then the Northern Polytechnic Institute and a landmark building on proud, late-Victorian Holloway Road. Over the course of the century to follow and alongside its institutional and educational use, the hall served as a theatre, music hall, concert venue and night club.

After undergoing a major refurbishment and restoration project and reverting to its original name, the Great Hall’s doors are open once again.

This versatile and fully licensed space can be used for a wide range of events such as conferences, exhibitions, trade fairs, award ceremonies, receptions and conventions. The maximum capacities are:

  • 400 reception/standing
  • 300 theatre style
  • 200 cabaret style
  • 156 exam desks

Situated under the Great Hall is the Rocket Cafe Bar. The venue has a capacity of 350 which increases to 600 if used in conjunction with the adjoining spacious courtyard.
