Built in 1969, Tower Hill housed the navigation department of Sir John Cass College, becoming part of City of London Polytechnic (a precursor of London Met) in 1970. Tower Hill was the site of public executions from 1388 to 1747, including the infamous beheading of Sir Thomas More in 1535.
