Professor Jane Broadbent

Jane is Emerita Professor of Accounting at the Royal Holloway University of London and previously was Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost of Roehampton University. Prior to her appointment at Roehampton University, Jane held the position of Senior Vice-Principal (Academic Affairs) at Royal Holloway, University of London. She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Her published academic work includes more than 60 refereed publications and has focused on performance management, with particular reference to the UK public sector and the Private Finance Initiative (PFI). Her work has been funded by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Australian Research Council.

Jane is a Fellow and Deputy Chair of the Council of the Academy of Social Sciences. She is a past editor of the journal Public Money and Management and has served on many editorial boards in the area of accounting. Her experience of research assessment covers her appointment to the last three UK assessment exercises as well as similar appointments in Australia and Hong Kong.

Jane has been a co-opted member of the Audit Committee at London Metropolitan University since 28 November 2013.
